A beneficiary has successfully overcome alcohol dependence and taken steps towards establishing a sustainable livelihood with support under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), highlighting the importance of rehabilitation, counselling and livelihood opportunities in transforming lives.
The journey towards recovery involved overcoming several personal and social challenges associated with alcohol dependence. With appropriate guidance, support and rehabilitation services, the beneficiary gradually worked towards improving his health, rebuilding confidence and reintegrating into society.
Along with support for recovery, livelihood assistance provided an opportunity to become economically independent and lead a more stable life. The initiative helped the beneficiary move beyond dependence and focus on productive activities and a secure future.
The NAPDDR initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment aims to address substance abuse through awareness generation, preventive education, identification, counselling, treatment, rehabilitation and social reintegration of affected individuals.
The beneficiary’s journey demonstrates that timely intervention, continuous support and opportunities for economic empowerment can play a significant role in helping individuals overcome addiction and rebuild their lives.
This transformation reflects the broader objective of NAPDDR to promote a healthier, addiction-free society while ensuring dignity, rehabilitation and self-reliance for individuals affected by substance dependence.
