In a significant boost to India’s indigenous defence capabilities, the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) AF MK1 has successfully test-fired a Beyond Visual Range (BVR) Air-to-Air Missile. The test validates Tejas’ combat readiness and enhances its air superiority capabilities.

The indigenous Tejas MK1, developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and DRDO, is equipped with advanced avionics, radar systems, and weaponry. The successful missile launch demonstrates its capability to engage aerial threats beyond visual range, further strengthening the Indian Air Force’s firepower.

This achievement marks another milestone in India’s efforts towards self-reliance in defence under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
