Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth around ₹9,400 crore in Hyderabad, giving a major boost to infrastructure, connectivity, transportation and public services in Telangana. The projects are aimed at accelerating economic growth, improving urban mobility and strengthening essential infrastructure across the region.

 

During the event in Hyderabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to rapid development, modern infrastructure creation and improving quality of life for citizens. The initiatives launched span sectors including railways, road transport, energy, urban development and public infrastructure, reflecting the Centre’s focus on enhancing connectivity and industrial growth in Telangana.

 

Among the major projects inaugurated and launched were key transportation and connectivity initiatives intended to improve travel efficiency and reduce congestion in and around Hyderabad. Several railway and highway-related works are expected to strengthen regional connectivity, facilitate trade and support economic activity across the state. The projects are also expected to create employment opportunities during both construction and operational phases.

 

The Prime Minister stated that modern infrastructure forms the backbone of economic development and plays a critical role in attracting investment and boosting industrial activity. He emphasised that large-scale public infrastructure projects contribute to faster logistics movement, improved public services and greater convenience for citizens.

 

Officials said the projects will significantly enhance urban and regional infrastructure while supporting Telangana’s growing role as a major technology, industrial and investment destination. Hyderabad, one of India’s fastest-growing metropolitan centres, has witnessed rapid expansion in recent years, increasing the need for upgraded transport networks and civic infrastructure.

 

The event was attended by senior Union ministers, state leaders, government officials and representatives from various departments associated with the projects. The launch of the projects is expected to strengthen economic activity in the region and further improve connectivity and public infrastructure across Telangana.
