The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zepto Private Limited to foster early-stage startups in the manufacturing sector through the “Zepto Nova” innovation challenge. Support includes expert-led workshops, capacity building, and onboarding under the Startup India initiative, with a particular focus on women-led startups and ventures from Tier II and Tier III cities.

Zepto will integrate over 100 Indian startups into its supply chain, providing them with critical market access and product visibility via its delivery and digital platform. Both DPIIT’s Joint Secretary, Sanjiv, and Zepto Co-founder, Kaivalya Vohra, highlighted the role of unicorns in uplifting the startup ecosystem. Vohra emphasized, “Through Zepto Nova, we’re proud to support India-first innovation by empowering startups that are building the future of manufacturing.”

This MoU signals DPIIT’s ongoing commitment to catalyzing Indian innovation through strategic partnerships, aligning with national missions such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat 2047.
