Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the world’s first-of-its-kind ‘Air Pollution Analysis’ facility dedicated to analysing and understanding air pollution in the Delhi-NCR region. The facility is aimed at strengthening scientific research and analysis of air pollution by providing advanced capabilities to study the sources, composition and dynamics of pollutants. It is expected to support evidence-based measures for tackling air pollution and improving air quality across the National Capital Region.
The initiative marks an important step towards leveraging science and technology for a deeper understanding of air pollution and developing more effective strategies for environmental protection and public health. The facility will also contribute to strengthening India’s scientific capacity in atmospheric research and help policymakers and researchers make informed decisions to address the complex challenge of air pollution.
