Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts (SSCA), Pune, emerged as the winner of the Grand Finale of the PHDCCI National Young Chef Competition 2025–26, showcasing exceptional culinary skill, creativity and deep respect for India’s rich food heritage.
The prestigious competition, organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), witnessed participation from leading culinary institutions across the country. The grand finale brought together top young chefs who demonstrated innovation rooted in traditional Indian flavours, sustainability and modern culinary techniques.
Congratulating the participants, Union Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that young chefs are the torchbearers of India’s culinary heritage and play a vital role in preserving, promoting and reimagining the nation’s diverse food traditions for future generations.
The winning team from Symbiosis impressed the jury with its technical excellence, presentation and thoughtful interpretation of Indian cuisine, earning top honours in the national contest. The competition aimed to encourage young culinary talent, promote skill development and strengthen India’s position as a global culinary destination.
The event concluded with awards and recognition for outstanding performances, reaffirming the growing importance of culinary arts in India’s cultural and tourism landscape.
