The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) has reported a record-breaking performance in the financial year 2025–26, marking a significant step in its efforts to promote economic empowerment among Scheduled Castes across the country.

According to official sources, the corporation achieved its highest-ever disbursement of concessional loans, benefiting a large number of eligible individuals through income-generating schemes and skill development initiatives. The performance reflects an increased outreach and improved implementation of welfare programmes.

Officials stated that the growth was driven by enhanced collaboration with state channelising agencies, simplified procedures, and the adoption of digital platforms for faster loan processing and monitoring.

The NSFDC, functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, plays a key role in providing financial assistance for self-employment ventures, education, and entrepreneurship development among Scheduled Castes.

During the year, special emphasis was laid on supporting women beneficiaries and youth, with targeted schemes aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods and financial inclusion.

The corporation also expanded its skill development programmes, aligning them with emerging market demands to improve employability outcomes.

Officials noted that the record performance underscores the government’s continued focus on inclusive growth and social justice, with NSFDC emerging as a key instrument in bridging socio-economic gaps.
