The National Health Authority (NHA) has achieved a significant milestone, with 25 crore Outpatient Department (OPD) registrations completed through its ABHA-based Scan & Register service. The digital service enables patients to register for OPD services conveniently by scanning a QR code at participating healthcare facilities and using their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).
The initiative is aimed at making hospital registration faster, more convenient and paperless while reducing waiting times for patients. It also strengthens the integration of digital health services under India’s growing digital healthcare ecosystem.
The achievement of 25 crore OPD registrations reflects the increasing adoption of ABHA-enabled services and the role of digital technology in improving access to healthcare. The milestone marks another step towards building a more accessible, efficient and patient-centric digital healthcare system in the country.
