The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a new initiative called ‘Project Aarohan’ aimed at supporting the education of children of toll plaza employees across the country.

Under the project, NHAI will provide access to quality educational resources, scholarships, and mentoring opportunities to help children pursue academic excellence and career development. The initiative is part of NHAI’s broader commitment to social responsibility and welfare of the workforce engaged in highway operations.

Officials said the program would focus on bridging educational gaps by offering supplementary learning support, skill development, and digital learning tools. In addition, special emphasis will be given to students preparing for competitive examinations.

“Project Aarohan is our way of ensuring that the children of those who keep India’s highways running are not left behind in terms of opportunities,” an NHAI spokesperson said. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of families working at toll plazas nationwide, empowering the next generation with better access to education and career prospects.
