The Delhi Cantonment Board (DCB) has launched a new education-focused initiative, ‘Aarambh’, aimed at providing learning and support facilities for children and youth in the Cantonment area.
The initiative seeks to offer a holistic learning environment for students from underprivileged backgrounds, focusing on academic support, digital literacy, skill development, and extracurricular activities. Officials said Aarambh is designed to bridge educational gaps, ensure continuity of learning, and prepare children for higher studies as well as employment opportunities.
The centre will also function as a community learning hub, offering counseling, mentoring, and vocational training programs in collaboration with local NGOs and education partners. Special attention will be given to students preparing for board exams and competitive tests.
Launching the initiative, DCB officials noted that Aarambh reflects the Board’s commitment to the welfare of residents and aligns with its broader efforts in promoting inclusive growth and social development. The programme is expected to benefit hundreds of children and young learners across the Delhi Cantonment area, providing them with resources and opportunities that go beyond the classroom.
