A new milestone in India’s electronic toy ecosystem was achieved as the e-Toys Lab was inaugurated during the convocation ceremony of the second batch of 18 young engineers trained under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) Electronic Toys Project.

The initiative aims to strengthen India’s vision of creating an inclusive, innovative, and robust indigenous electronic toy industry ecosystem. The newly launched lab will serve as a dedicated space for hands-on experimentation, product development, and skill enhancement for young engineers aspiring to contribute to India’s growing toy manufacturing sector.

Officials highlighted that the project is designed to nurture technical talent, encourage domestic manufacturing, and reduce dependence on imported electronic toys. The 18 graduating engineers showcased their prototypes and innovations developed during their training, reflecting the project’s focus on practical skills and design thinking.

The inauguration of the e-Toys Lab is expected to further boost India’s capabilities in designing and producing high-quality electronic toys, supporting the country’s broader goals under the “Make in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives.
