Global streaming giant Netflix has launched Eyeline Studios, its global production and innovation studio, in Hyderabad, marking a major investment in India’s growing Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector. The new facility, spread across about 32,000 square feet, will focus on advanced visual effects (VFX), virtual production and next-generation production technologies for global film and series production.

The Hyderabad studio becomes the fifth global hub of Eyeline Studios, joining existing centres in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul, and London.  The studio was inaugurated in the presence of A. Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, along with senior government officials, industry leaders, and actor-producer Rana Daggubati.

The initiative aims to tap into India’s large pool of VFX and animation talent, strengthen global production pipelines, and position the country as a major hub for digital content creation. It is also expected to create new jobs and contribute to the expansion of the AVGC ecosystem in India.

Experts say the launch reflects increasing global confidence in India’s creative technology capabilities and could further establish Hyderabad as a global centre for visual storytelling and digital production.  If you want, I can also convert this into a short 5–6 line news brief format (like PIB or science news style) which is useful for reports or newsletters.
