Major General Lisamma PV has assumed the prestigious appointment of Additional Director General (ADG) of the Military Nursing Service (MNS) as of May 1, 2025. She succeeds Major General Sheena PD, who retired on April 30, 2025, after an illustrious four-decade career in military nursing.

 

Major General Lisamma PV brings extensive experience and leadership to her new role. Her appointment underscores the Indian Army’s continued commitment to strengthening the Military Nursing Service, which plays a critical role in providing medical care and support to armed forces personnel and their families.

 

The MNS, an integral part of the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services, is staffed by highly trained nursing professionals who serve in various capacities across military hospitals and field units. As ADG, Major General Lisamma PV will oversee the strategic direction, training, and operational readiness of the MNS, ensuring the highest standards of nursing care within the military healthcare system.

 

 

Her leadership is anticipated to further enhance the capabilities and professionalism of the Military Nursing Service, contributing significantly to the health and well-being of service members.
