Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the ‘Bharat Taxi’ service in Maharashtra, marking a significant step towards strengthening cooperative and community-driven mobility services in the state.

The initiative aims to provide passengers with reliable, affordable and transparent transportation services, while creating new opportunities for taxi and cab drivers through a cooperative model. The service is expected to promote the welfare of drivers and enhance the overall urban mobility ecosystem.

The launch reflects the government’s focus on leveraging technology and cooperative frameworks to build a more inclusive transportation system. The ‘Bharat Taxi’ initiative is also expected to contribute to the formalisation of the taxi sector and improve service delivery for commuters.
