India has achieved a historic milestone by crossing 50,000 National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certifications, marking a quantum leap in the quality of public healthcare delivery across the country. The achievement reflects the Government of India’s sustained commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and ensuring safe, effective, patient-centric, and equitable services at public health facilities. NQAS certifications are awarded to health institutions that meet stringent quality benchmarks under the National Health Mission.
