The Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched a revamped Mission Vatsalya Portal, aimed at streamlining and strengthening child protection services across the country. The upgraded digital platform consolidates existing systems such as Khoya-Paya and TrackChild, providing a unified interface for real-time monitoring and coordination.
The new portal integrates multiple stakeholders, including State Child Protection Societies (SCPS), State Adoption Resource Agencies (SARA), District Child Protection Units (DCPUs), Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), and Child Care Institutions (CCIs). It features advanced Management Information System (MIS) dashboards, ensuring better planning, monitoring, and resource utilization while eliminating duplication of data.
In addition, the portal is linked with emergency helplines, including the 24×7 national Child Helpline (1098), ERSS-112 (Emergency Response Support System), and the Women Helpline (181). This integration will allow immediate response and real-time tracking of child-related cases.
To facilitate smooth implementation, the Ministry, in partnership with the Savitribai Phule National Institute of Women & Child Development (SPNIWCD), has conducted capacity-building sessions for master trainers across all States and Union Territories. Login credentials have already been provided to relevant agencies and NGOs involved in Mission Vatsalya.
The portal is a major step towards modernizing child protection systems in India, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and better coordination in handling cases of missing children, adoption, foster care, and emergency response.
