Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop advanced smart technologies aimed at strengthening India’s national security and defence logistics.

 

The MoU was signed in the presence of DRDO Chairman and Secretary, Defence R&D, Dr. Samir V. Kamat. The agreement was formalized by Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice-Chancellor of GSV, and Dr. Lal Chand Mangal, DS & DG (Technology Management), DRDO.

 

Under the partnership, both institutions will collaborate on a wide range of research domains including strategic, operational, and tactical logistics management; indigenous chip design; hardware security; and advanced encryption technologies such as homomorphic and blockchain-based encryption.

 

The collaboration also aims to enhance capacity-building in military science and logistics through joint research projects, seminars, conferences, workshops, and round-table engagements.GSV, India’s first university dedicated to transportation and logistics, operates under the Ministry of Railways and already works with the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy on logistics-related research.

 

Officials stated that the partnership aligns with India’s broader goal of strengthening indigenous defence capabilities and building a self-reliant ecosystem in critical technologies.
