In a significant boost to India's fresh fruit exports, a consignment of 4.3 tonnes of Banganappalli mangoes was successfully shipped to Singapore by sea, demonstrating excellent quality retention throughout the journey. The successful shipment highlights the effectiveness of India's cold chain and post-harvest handling systems, enabling premium-quality mangoes to reach international markets through cost-effective sea transport.

The achievement is expected to strengthen India's fresh produce exports by making sea freight a viable alternative to air transport for perishable fruits. It also opens new opportunities for Indian mango growers and exporters to expand their presence in global markets while reducing logistics costs and maintaining high quality standards.
