In a landmark move for both healthcare and gender equality, Coal India Limited, through its subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), inaugurated its first-ever fully women‑operated dispensary at the Vasant Vihar facility in SECL’s Bilaspur headquarters.
The dispensary is staffed entirely by a 14‑member female team, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and support personnel. The formal inauguration was led by SECL Chairman‑cum‑Managing Director Harish Duhan, with senior officials Dr. N. Franklin Jayakumar (Director Technical), Biranchi Das (Director HR), D. Sunil Kumar (Director Finance), and Himanshu Jain (Chief Vigilance Officer) in attendance
