The Delhi government, in collaboration with the Ladli Foundation Trust, is setting up free computer labs in 100 government schools. Each lab will be equipped with 20 computers, access to free technology, skill-building sessions, and Common University Entrance Test (CUET) mock tests. The partnership aims to enhance digital education and improve access to technology for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Additionally, the Delhi government has allocated ₹50 crore for the establishment of 175 new computer labs and smart classrooms. The initiative aligns with Skill India and Digital India missions, aiming to bridge the digital divide and provide students with hands-on training in technology.Students can register through their school administration.

The Directorate of Education has identified 100 schools where these labs will be set up. The schools will provide classrooms, electricity, furniture, and power backup for the labs, also designate a teacher or coordinator to manage the labs.

The rollout is being coordinated through video conferences with education officials, and schools must submit progress reports fortnightly.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had earlier announced in her budget speech that a fund of Rs 100 crore has been kept for building 175 new computer labs and smart classes. She said, “1200 children will be given laptops under the free laptop scheme, who will go from 10th to 11th. A sum of Rs 7.50 crore will be kept on this.”
