Shri B.P. Singh has assumed charge as the Director General of Naval Armament (DGNA), marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career in defence services.
As Director General of Naval Armament, Shri B.P. Singh will be responsible for overseeing armament inspection, quality assurance, and technical support for the Indian Navy’s weapon systems and ammunition. The appointment underscores the Government’s continued focus on strengthening indigenous defence capabilities and ensuring operational readiness of naval platforms.
Prior to taking over the present assignment, Shri B.P. Singh held several key appointments in the field of naval armament and defence production, contributing significantly to quality assurance and modernization initiatives. The Naval Armament Directorate plays a pivotal role in ensuring safety, reliability, and performance standards of naval weapon systems, thereby enhancing the combat preparedness of the Indian Navy.
