The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India has successfully completed the flight tests of the Guided Pinaka Weapon System. This achievement signifies a major development in enhancing India’s artillery capabilities and is part of the Provisional Staff Qualitative Requirements (PSQR) validation trials.
The flight tests were conducted at various field firing ranges, including the notable site at Pokhran2. During these trials, the system was assessed for important parameters such as: Range capabilities: The Pinaka system is capable of engaging targets at ranges from 7 to 90 kilometers.
