34 Indian Students Embark on STEM Journey to Japan Under Sakura Science Programme

Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, flagged off a group of 34 bright Indian students selected to participate in the Sakura Science Programme in Japan.

The initiative, facilitated through collaboration with the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), aims to promote academic exchange, scientific curiosity, and cross-cultural understanding among youth. The participating students will engage in science and technology workshops, cultural immersion activities, and collaborative learning sessions with their Japanese counterparts.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjay Kumar highlighted that such programmes strengthen India-Japan educational ties and provide young learners with global exposure to innovation and research opportunities. The Sakura Science Programme is a flagship exchange initiative of Japan, inviting talented youth from various countries to nurture future leaders in science and technology while fostering international friendship.

Do you want me to make this in the same short bulletin style as the last ones (like your “India Achieves 100 GW Solar PV Capacity” update), or should I expand it into a detailed press-release style piece?
