he Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today inaugurated, dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure projects worth over ₹4,400 crore in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the development works undertaken in Madurai will significantly enhance connectivity and boost economic growth across Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that modern infrastructure is the backbone of a developed India and reiterated the Government’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development across the country.
Highlighting the importance of enhanced road, rail and urban infrastructure, the Prime Minister noted that the projects will improve ease of travel, facilitate trade and commerce, and generate employment opportunities in the region. He stated that better connectivity in Madurai will provide new momentum to industrial growth, tourism and local businesses.
Shri Narendra Modi underlined that the Government is working with the vision of inclusive and balanced regional development. He remarked that the infrastructure initiatives launched today will greatly benefit farmers, youth, traders and small entrepreneurs of Tamil Nadu.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the Centre’s resolve to transform India’s infrastructure landscape with record investments in highways, railways, airports and urban development. The Governor of Tamil Nadu, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Union Ministers and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
